What is UL FUN Sacoche?

The name has been changed from the previous [UL Rainproof Sacoche] to [UL FUN Sacoche].

The UL FUN Sacoche is made with a generous amount of water-resistant, ultra-lightweight Dyneema® composite fabric, and its unique design keeps the contents of the bag dry. It also minimizes stitching and seals with tape made from the same material. This means you can enjoy hiking or mountain climbing without worrying about the contents of your sacoche getting wet, even in the rain.

Accessing your luggage is super easy and convenient, so if you pack snacks, you can quickly replenish your energy when needed while hiking or climbing mountains, without having to take off your backpack, and you can prevent fatigue.

The strap is equipped with the specially designed "Whoopie Sling" function, which allows for incredibly smooth length adjustment, allowing you to quickly adjust the length even on steep rocky areas or steep climbs, preventing the sacoche from hitting your feet or the ground.

This ultra-lightweight sacoche weighs just 74g, reducing the strain on your shoulders and body and helping to improve your performance.

It can be used for mountain climbing, hiking, camping, various outdoor activities, and of course for everyday use.

1. The contents won't get wet even on rainy days!

The fabric is made with a generous amount of water-resistant Dyneema® composite fabric, with as few stitching as possible, and the stitching is carefully sealed with tape made from the same Dyneema® composite fabric, taking the time and effort to do so.

The unique design allows for a large lid and folds the edges of the main compartment together, making it less likely for rain to get in and for the contents to stay wet.

2. Easy access

The main compartment and mesh pocket of the sacoche can be easily accessed by simply opening the lid.

When the wind is blowing or you're moving around a lot, you can fasten the lid by hooking it onto the toggle button.

3. Ample pockets for easy storage of small items

There is a central divider that allows you to store hiking maps and small items separately. The divider has two large pockets on either side and two small mesh pockets in between, allowing you to store small items in an organized manner.

4. Mesh pocket

A large mesh pocket is located on the front of the main body, which is convenient for temporarily storing small items such as smartphones, camera lens caps, snacks, garbage bags, etc.

5. Built-in zipper pocket and hook

There is a pocket on the back of the lid where you can put your hand, and a rubber hook is built in so you can hang keys and other items on it, allowing you to use your keys while they are attached to the hook.

1. Ultra-light material

We have paid particular attention to the materials used for the main body, and have used DSM's ultra-strong ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMwPE) fiber and Dyneema® composite fabric in a luxurious and uncompromising manner to make the bag as light as possible.

The UL FUN Sacoshe weighs just 59g, making it incredibly light. Even with the strap included, it weighs just 74g!

2. Material thickness

Dyneema® composite fabric comes in a variety of thicknesses, from ultra-thin to thick. The one we used this time was 2.92 oz/yd².

2.92oz/yd2 means that one square yard of fabric weighs 2.92 ounces, and the fabric is a two-layer laminate of 1.43oz/yd2 Dyneema® composite fabric and 50 denier polyester fabric. The front side is a glossy, luxurious polyester plain weave, while the back side is a water-resistant Dyneema® composite fabric. The more you use it, the more it wrinkles and becomes softer to the touch.

A sacoche bag is used to carry a variety of items, so it needs to be lightweight, have a certain weight capacity, and be durable against external forces. That's why we used a thickness of 2.92 oz/yd2, which is just the right balance of strength and lightness for a sacoche bag.

3. Waterproof zipper

The zipper pocket on the back of the UL FUN Sacoshe lid uses a waterproof YKK zipper.

4. Super water-repellent yarn

In areas where water may seep in, we use thread that has been treated with an ultra-water-repellent coating, making it less likely for water to seep in through the seams.

1. Detachable strap

The UL FUN Strap is removable and can be used with cameras and other accessories.

2. Incredibly smooth length adjustment

The UL FUN Strap is lightweight and easy to use, eliminating the need for plastic parts for length adjustment. The "Whoopie Sling" feature uses an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) cord for incredibly smooth, infinitely adjustable movement.

The main body is approximately 4cm wide and 48cm long to reduce strain on the shoulders and back. The total length of the Whoopie Sling can be adjusted continuously between approximately 63cm and 112cm.

3. Loop at the tip

The length adjustment cord of the UL FUN Strap has a loop so that it can be easily pulled even when wearing gloves.

4. Carefully selected ingredients

The outer layer of the UL FUN Strap is made from the same 2.92 oz/yd2 Dyneema® composite fabric as the UL FUN Sacoche. The inner layer is made from a 100% polyester waffle fabric that is moisture-wicking, quick-drying, UV-resistant, and has a cotton-like feel and anti-pilling properties.

This waffle fabric is gentle to the touch and doesn't hurt even when it comes into direct contact with the skin.
