With the original UL FUN Drip, we were forced to reduce the size of the server container, which was advertised as its basic function. However, this time, we experimented with various base shapes and made and tested many prototypes, and finally came up with a design and gimmick that can be used without any problems even when the compatible size is expanded!

The new UL FUN Drip 2.0 allows you to change the size of the serving container by changing the folding direction of the base. Fits diameters from approximately 7cm to 12.0cm Now you can!

Most of the lightweight and compact coffee drippers available to date for mountain climbing and outdoor use were sized to fit over a mug, and required some ingenuity to make enough coffee for two people at once.

Previously, I used a spring-type coffee dripper, but the size did not match the container underneath, so I used a disposable chopstick to hold it in place.

The UL FUN Drip 2.0 can be used as a serving container, with a diameter ranging from a mug of approximately 7cm to a cooker of approximately 12cm.

When we went mountain climbing or hiking, my husband and I always used a small spring-loaded dripper that I'd been using since I started mountain climbing. It may have been over 20 years since then. We always made coffee for two people with that small dripper. Since it was for two people, a mug was too small, so we used a cooktop placed underneath. Naturally, the size of the dripper didn't match, and it didn't sit properly, so in the past we would hold it down with our hands or use chopsticks to hold it in place. It would have been easy to switch to a dripper for two people, but we couldn't find anything that suited us, so we gave up and continued using the small spring-loaded dripper for many years.

After discovering ultralight hiking, I wondered if I could somehow make one myself, so I frantically cut polyethylene sheeting with a cutter to make my first dripper, like I was making a craft project. I was excited with high hopes, but although I was able to extract some coffee, the quality was not satisfactory.

From there, the journey of prototyping this dripper began, and we repeatedly made prototypes with a cutter in hand, brewing coffee and testing them. We even made prototypes ourselves using a laser cutting machine. Finally, we were satisfied with the shape, and then we began the journey of looking for a processing factory to commercialize it. It was a long, long journey.

We finally managed to create a prototype processed in a factory, and although it wasn't an easy process, we were finally able to create the first UL FUN Drip that we were satisfied with.

Since then, we have continued to improve the product based on feedback from our users. We also made many prototypes, and just when we thought it was finally complete, we had to start all over again from scratch looking for a factory to work with. The original mold was also wasted. However, thinking about the users who were waiting for the new UL FUN Drip, we couldn't give up, and we finally found a factory that we were satisfied with.

Thanks to the cooperation of the company president and the factory staff, despite our many requests, we were able to create a product that we are proud to call the definitive edition, just as the title suggests.
